A cute ruby-crowned kinglet hiding in a pine tree on a summer afternoon in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. At the time these photos were taken, this little guy was a rare find for the summer season. With each hop from branch to branch, it almost felt like he was posing for me. At one point, he almost landed on my lens hood! It’s always such a rewarding experience when birds feel comfortable with your presence. He remained close to me the whole time and when I unfortunately had to leave, I looked back to find him seemingly staring at me from the bushes.
