Some magical moments at Cherry Beach. The ice that could be seen before was completely covered by snow. It was snowing while we were there and the sun was also starting to set. I’ve never seen anything like it, where the landscape was filled with a golden glow from the hazy sunset while the snowflakes were prettily falling to the ground. It was a peaceful moment that I want to remember always.

Just my luck that when I am able to venture out in hopes of a sunset, I’m greeted with a scene like this. It couldn’t be more of a rejection from Mother Nature. The Toronto skyline really does look so very different without the CN Tower and with so many skyscrapers being covered by fog. To a Torontonian, scenes like this always look like something from out of a dream.

I haven’t been able to photograph a good sunset in a while. This was mostly due to missing them because of the sun setting way too early and not being able to get to my prime locations in time. Even here, I’m not so pleased that I realized the sky was erupting so late but I’m glad I was able to capture it regardless.

Photos of the sky lighting up across Riverdale Park. I just love when you get that feeling that you’re going to get a crazy sky and Mother Nature decides to give one to you. It’s not something that always happens so I’m happy whenever it does!

One of the best feelings as a self proclaimed nature photographer is when you look at the sky just before sunset and you just know that it’s going to light up in brilliant reds and oranges. And the cherry on top? When it actually does!

Some days, there isn’t enough time for me to leave to head off to my usual spots. Luckily, there are some good vantage points right in the backyard. I’m really going to miss these summer sunsets once winter rolls around.
