This was one majestic sunset. I had just recently upgraded my camera and the timing couldn’t have been better! I know for a fact that many of these images wouldn’t exist had I taken them with my old one since it couldn’t handle low lighting well. I felt so lucky that I was able to get a shot of Pet spreading her wings with that beautiful backdrop behind her.

While grocery shopping this past spring, I couldn’t help but notice how gorgeous these hydrangeas were. I love when flowers start showing up in stores because not only does that mean the weather is getting warmer, but also I get an opportunity to photograph some beautiful blooms. Luckily, these were outside so I was able to get some nice natural lighting.

I always feel right at home when taking photos of the sunset, especially intense ones like these. What captured my attention with this one was the way it kept changing. Some sunsets are blink-and-you-miss-it quick and ones like this keep transforming in shape and colour.

A pink and purple sunset as seen from Ashbridge’s Bay in Toronto. It was so cold on this evening and it was even colder seeing as I was right by the lake. As pretty as the sunset was, we left at the first sign of it fading as we were all starting to lose feeling in our legs.

I ended up taking these photos by chance. My family and I were off to Ashbridge’s Bay for some fresh air when we happened upon this view while looking for parking. I couldn’t help but be drawn to the colour of the sky and the way its colours reflected off the frozen Lake Ontario. Sunset wasn’t due for another little while but if I didn’t know any better, I would think it was already happening.
