Beautiful, blue landscapes of Lake Ontario during a sunny, spring day. I can’t wait to see what this place looks like during summer when the trees are filled with leaves.
The mute swans in the first photo were not happy with my presence whereas the trumpeter swan was at ease. The contrast in their feather fluffiness is so amusing to me. The trumpeter swan (and I) have been at this spot a lot longer but these mute swans think they run the show!
In the second photo, I was trying to take a photo of the swan’s ID band on her ankle. Since I was taking photos at a low angle, I couldn’t see what exactly I was capturing. I just went for it and kept snapping. When looking back at the images, I liked this one from a photographic standpoint and decided to keep it.
A sweet trumpeter swan spending her afternoon on the beach. She’s lovingly referred to as Pet and she’s so calm and docile. A reason why I love coming here is knowing there’s a good chance I’ll see her. She recognizes me now and it makes me so happy!
Various birds out and about during a cloudy, spring day. Lake Ontario was pretty calm that day and they seemed to enjoy leisurely spending the afternoon out on the water.
A trumpeter swan spreading her wings on Lake Ontario. These are some of my most favourite photos that I’ve taken. The lighting was beautiful on this afternoon and this gal here was the most perfect model. And to think I almost didn’t bring my camera!
