Out of all the sunset shots, I only kept this one to be edited. I almost didn’t but I thought that cloud was too cute. It reminds me of two things: a helicopter and Flounder from The Little Mermaid.

I got a call from a friend telling me to go outside if I could. She saw that the sky was turning into a brilliant sunset and had to let me know in case I was missing it. Funny thing is, I was! I appreciate the people that let me know when something is happening sky-wise! I wasn’t able to head off to my usual haunts but I’m happy I still got something.

The day before, we had a lot of rainfall to the point where it flooded the beach. It resulted in such a surreal look where you would have sand and water alternating until you finally got to the lake. This resulted in interesting sunset shots due to the reflections in the water.

A summer sunset. I really love the way the clouds cast shadows in the second shot.

Ottawa! We really enjoyed our time here. A quieter city than Toronto, even in the summer. The sunset spots were so close to our hotel and I, of course, was super happy about that!

I love when the sky lights up like this. Where the clouds look like little clumps of colour in the sky.
