A calm view of a blue Lake Ontario during the first day of spring. Taken on a sunny day in Toronto’s Tommy Thompson Park, I was drawn to the way the rocks underwater were a deep shade of green, and the way that colour contrasted with the colours of the lake.

A snow covered Cherry Beach on one of the last days of winter. It was a particularly windy day which resulted in some beautiful waves. It was snowing on this afternoon which resulted in some lovely contrast between the white sky and the aqua waters of Lake Ontario. Due to the snow, the horizon remained partially obscured and I liked how hazy and ethereal it made the landscape look.

Looking at the waves in these photographs, one can easily deduce that this was a very, very windy day. And when wind shows up in winter, so does the cold. But I braved through it as I thought the clear ice scattered along the shore was absolutely stunning. Paired with the turbulent turquoise waters, it made for a gorgeous scene.
