A collection of images taken at Colonel Samuel Park during a summer afternoon in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I thought the various landscapes and waterscapes here were so beautiful.
I’ve never seen Canada geese growing their feathers back and it was so fascinating to see in person! This happens after they shed their flight feathers during their annual molting period. Flightless for a few weeks, their wings look like this once the new feathers begin to grow back. Truthfully, it kind of gave me the heebie-jeebies and I’m not sure how to explain why. All I know is that I could never get used to the sight of seeing that white straw-like coating whenever they’d settle or flap their wings.
