A vibrant sunset at the end of August. Wow, this one was a stunner! These are the kinds of sunsets I look forward to the most, where the sky actually looks like it’s on fire. Whenever I’m done taking photos, I can’t wait to load them up on to my laptop for editing. I’m going to miss sunsets like these once winter rolls around.

The Humber River at the end of August. If you want magnificent views of the city’s skyline, this is one of the places to go. Sitting on the beach was so lovely with the calm waters and the CN Tower in the distance. I’m looking forward to what it will look like here during autumn when all the leaves turn red.

This was one of the prettiest sunsets I’ve seen in a while. We were lucky enough to find an empty bench to sit on to do some sunset watching. Everything about this sunset was gorgeous, from the clouds directly above the setting sun to the clouds over by the city’s skyline. The cloud cover approaching the city almost reminded me of a wave. Not only that but the clouds’ colours went from orange to yellow to pink to purple. Even with all the haziness in the atmosphere, we were able to see the moon peeking through as well. This sunset kept transforming and had me photographing everything lest I miss something.

A cloudy skyline in Toronto. Even when no red skies materialized like I was hoping, I still got a photo of these pretty clouds during sunset!

These were the result of me feeling a little burnt out from editing my usual photos. I had a lot to get through and was feeling very unmotivated. So, I ended up looking up some of my favourite photos to play around with in Photoshop and Topaz Labs. Out of all photos chosen and edited, these were the three I ended up liking the best. I experimented with motion blur to add some movement. In the first photo, both skylines have different blur settings and I mirrored them to achieve an otherworldly city atmosphere.
All of them reminded me of some fantasy land in the sky so I decided to name this mini-series City In The Sky.

A pastel midsummer sunset. The second image is one of my favourites as I love how soft the colours and clouds looked. It almost looks like a long exposure shot with the way the clouds look like wisps in the sky.

Some simple shots of two industrial-like scenes. I liked the horizontal lines of the train tracks and the vertical lines of the columns illuminated by the golden sunlight.

Haze in the sky resulted in this stunning sunset where you could see the sun as a defined circle in the sky. This in turn lead into a gorgeous pink and purple sky once the sun started to sink below the horizon.
