Canada geese hang out by the lake during sunset. Usually, they would hang out closer to shore but someone had brought their dog. As much as I love dogs, Canada geese do not and thus they swam far into the lake to avoid confrontation. Once the threat was gone, they made their way back to shore.

What a gorgeous sunset! I feel so thankful to have been able to experience this one. I thought the sky was brilliant all the way to the very end, especially when the moon, covered in a hazy veil of cloud, made itself known.

This was such a brilliant sunset that I continue to think about months later. I knew I should have trusted my gut when I saw the clouds earlier on along with the fact that there were thunderstorms that afternoon. I regret missing out on capturing that rainbow in its entirety. Had I trusted myself, I would have had time to go to my spot by the lake to photograph the rainbow. Instead, I had to settle for a shadow of what could have been as it started to fade.
